Rewind CT provides local media conversion services to help preserve your home movies, family recordings, and audio before time takes its toll. We carefully convert your analog media into modern digital files that are easy to watch, share, and back up.
Whether it’s a box of family VHS tapes or a single recording you haven’t seen in 30 years, we’ll treat it with the care it deserves.
VHS & VHS-C Conversion
Have old home movies sitting on VHS or those smaller VHS-C camcorder tapes?
We convert them to high-quality digital video files that you can watch on your computer, TV, phone, or tablet — and, more importantly, copy and back up for the future.
We currently support:
- VHS
- VHS-C
Your tapes are played back in real time and digitally captured. We don’t simply run them through a machine and hope for the best — we monitor the conversion and check the resulting files.
What you receive
Your converted videos are provided as modern digital files suitable for viewing, sharing, and archiving.
Have several tapes? We can organize and name the files so you don’t end up with a folder full of Video001.mp4, Video002.mp4, and Video003.mp4.
Audio Cassette Conversion
Mixtapes, family recordings, interviews, answering-machine recordings, and other old audio can be just as irreplaceable as home movies.
We convert standard audio cassettes into digital audio files so they can be preserved and enjoyed without relying on an aging cassette deck.

Video Cleanup & Restoration
Sometimes digitizing the tape is only the beginning.
Older recordings can suffer from faded colors, noise, poor contrast, inconsistent audio, and other problems that come with aging analog media.
Basic conversion preserves the recording as it exists today. For recordings that need a little more attention, video and audio cleanup is available by request.
Depending on the source material, restoration may include adjustments to:
- Color and brightness
- Contrast
- Video noise
- Audio levels
- Unwanted beginnings or endings
- Other correctable imperfections
Every recording is different, so restoration is evaluated individually. We’ll discuss what can realistically be improved before doing additional work.
We preserve memories — we don’t promise miracles. Some damage or deterioration may be permanently recorded on the original tape.
Local Pickup & Drop-Off
Your family memories shouldn’t have to travel across the country just to become digital.
Rewind CT is a Connecticut-based local service. Depending on your location and order size, local pickup and drop-off may be available.
That means your irreplaceable tapes stay close to home throughout the process.
No shipping box. No cross-country warehouse. No wondering where your family’s only copy of Christmas 1994 ended up.
