Every tape holds something different, but figuring out what it costs to preserve it shouldn’t be complicated.
Rewind CT offers straightforward per-tape pricing for standard conversions, with optional services available when your recordings need a little extra attention.
Video Conversion
VHS & VHS-C
$15 per tape
Includes:
- Digital capture of your recording
- MP4 video file
- Basic beginning/end trimming
- Playback and file verification
- Original tape returned to you
Have a lot of tapes?

No charge for blank tapes.
If we discover that a tape contains no recorded video, you won’t pay to have nothing converted.
Long recordings: Base pricing includes tapes containing up to 2 hours of recorded video. Longer recordings may have an additional charge.
Audio Cassette Conversion
Standard Audio Cassettes
$12 per cassette
Includes digital capture, basic track cleanup, file creation, and verification.
Recordings can be delivered as MP3 files for convenient listening or lossless audio files for archival purposes.
Have recordings of interviews, family members, old mixtapes, or something unusual? Tell us what you have and we’ll help determine the best way to preserve it.
Optional Services
Video & Audio Restoration
Starting at $10 per recording
Some recordings just need to be digitized. Others deserve a little extra attention.
Depending on the condition of the original, restoration may include color and brightness correction, noise reduction, audio leveling, removal of unwanted footage, and other improvements.
Because every recording is different, we’ll review the footage first and let you know what’s possible and what it will cost.
We won’t perform additional paid restoration without your approval.
How Do I Get My Files?
Your Own USB Drive
Free
Provide a USB flash drive or external drive with enough available space and we’ll copy your converted files to it.
USB Drive from Rewind CT
Starting at $10
Need one? We can provide an appropriately sized USB drive with your completed order.
Digital Delivery
Free for qualifying orders
For smaller conversions, we can provide secure digital delivery so you can download your memories directly.
Local Pickup & Drop-Off
Free within our standard service area for orders of $50 or more.
For smaller orders or locations farther away, pickup and delivery may be available for a small fee.
You’re always welcome to arrange local drop-off and pickup at no additional charge.
What You Won’t Pay For
We want the pricing to be as straightforward as the service.
No charge for blank tapes. No surprise restoration fees. No fee just to find out what’s on a tape.
If we encounter a damaged tape, unusual format, or another issue that requires additional work, we’ll contact you before doing anything that would increase the price.
